Stanley Cup Finals: Penguins vs. Predators

Probably not the two teams most people would have picked a couple months ago. Both teams have been hot. Both teams also have “added” a player within the last month. They Penguins have gotten Sidney Crosby back, and the Predators have brought Alexander Radulov back from the KHL to finish the final year of his contract. Sidney Crosby is a former NHL MVP, while Radulov is a former KHL MVP. Another thing these teams have in common is outstanding goaltending, which is key in the playoffs.

Key Players

Alexander Radulov – Radulov has been great since coming back to the NHL
Pekka Rinne – Probably the toughest goalie in the NHL to play against
Patric Hornqvist – A great player who will create trouble for the Pens in front of the net

Sidney Crosby – Best player in the NHL, enough said
Evgeni Malkin – Expect Malkin’s great year to continue through the playoffs
Marc-Andre Fleury – The key to the entire series

My Pick: Penguins win series 4-2

Penguins win Stanley Cup

  1. I agree with this final. Nashville is an excellent team whose time is now. Pittsburgh however are the best team in the NHL and should win the whole thing. Don’t forget Suter and Weber on the blueline for the Preds. Great tandem. Good job.
